Red Raw

My poor baby's face is very very sore. Thursday we popped along to the Doctor because after a month of dribble rash we were struggling to get on top of it and it wasn't getting better whatever I was doing. The Dr said it was a little infected and prescribed an antibiotic cream to clear it up. 36 hours of using the antibiotic cream and instead of making it better it made it much much worse....

So after popping to the pharmacy today for advice we were sent to out of hours GP. He has reacted badly to the antibiotic cream so Xander now has a steroid based cream and an oral course of antibiotics.

This is the worst of it, although there are paler patches starting on his cheeks, near his ears and near his eyes too. *sad Mummy*

  1. My daughter had a awful sore rash on her cheeks. It was chapped and then got snot rubbed into it. Tried lots of medicines and different creams from the dr. I ended up going to out of hours dr and he perscribed Polyfax cream. Its an antibiotic one. the rash looked better within 20 mins of the first application. Went totally after 2-3 days. Worth asking for as it's very good for that sort of thing.
